A balmy Summer Solstice at Glastonbury

Yesterday's Solstice at Glastonbury was pure magic — warm, joyful, and full of light. I arrived around 7:30 in the morning, the town already alive with gentle energy. As I strolled up the high street, a steady flow of faces passed by, many fresh from the sunrise ceremony at the Tor. We exchanged smiles and quiet greetings. The garden of St John's church was littered with visitors, basking in the heat from the rising sun. A busker played from a bench on the opposite side of the road.

At the Assembly Rooms, the craft market buzzed with early energy — traders arranging treasures and weaving magic into their stalls. I decorated mine with flowers from a bright bouquet . A yellow daisy claimed a place in my hair, held fast by a chunky market clamp. All day, a gentle tide of curious visitors flowed through the space, and I attempted to stay cool beneath the summer heat with icy frappes and bottles of water.

It was a busy day, so I didn’t get much time for photos — but here are a few little glimpses. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by with kind words, laughter, and stories — you made the day something special.

I’ll be back at the market most Tuesdays and some Saturdays over the summer. You can find the dates on my Events page or follow along on Instagram for updates. I hope to see you there. 😊
